As a collective, we immersed ourselves in the captivating realm of youth culture and fashion. 'Rootz' embarks on a journey exploring the profound influence of subcultures on mainstream fashion, with a keen focus on urban youth movements that have emerged in London. From the gritty energy of Grime to the free-spirited ethos of the rave scene, and the echoes of the hippie movement intertwined with the vibrancy of hip-hop, our exploration unveils a tapestry of diverse influences.
Within the realm of counterculture, we dissected notions of dissolution and rebellion against the established societal norms, where individuals seek alternative paths of living while embracing their innate individualism. It's a defiance against the conventional, a rejection of conformity in favor of anti-establishment ideals.
Our quest delved into the intricate relationship between fashion and self-expression, intertwined with the music that ignites and fuels it.
